Industry overview
Scalable cloud infrastructure for startups is a set of provisioned cloud resources — compute, storage, networking, and orchestration — designed with horizontal scaling and cost efficiency in mind from the initial architecture.
At a glance
Startups routinely over-provision in anticipation of growth they have not yet reached, or under-provision and scramble when a launch goes viral. We design infrastructure that starts small and scales automatically: containerised workloads on ECS or GKE, auto-scaling groups keyed to CPU and request-rate metrics, and a PostgreSQL RDS instance with read replicas enabled when the query load warrants it. Everything is defined in Terraform so the environment is reproducible and auditable.
A typical engagement delivers a VPC with private and public subnets, an ECS or GKE cluster running your application containers, an RDS or Cloud SQL database with automated backups, an S3 or GCS bucket for media and assets, a CloudFront or Cloud CDN distribution, and a GitHub Actions or Cloud Build CI/CD pipeline. We wire AWS Cost Explorer or GCP Billing dashboards with budget alerts so you never get a surprise invoice at month end.
Key capabilities
Engagements are scoped to your business context — these are the core capabilities we bring to startups clients.
Terraform IaC for reproducible, auditable infrastructure across environments
ECS or GKE cluster with auto-scaling keyed to request rate and CPU metrics
RDS or Cloud SQL with automated backups and configurable read replicas
CDN distribution for static assets with cache-control and invalidation hooks
GitHub Actions or Cloud Build CI/CD pipeline with staging and production gates
Budget alerts and cost dashboards to prevent unexpected cloud spend
